TWC Massage & Co.
Last updated: October 24, 2026
Your privacy matters to me. I’m Miguel, and I personally manage the appointments, communications and day-to-day operations of TWC Massage & Co. TWC is operated by TWC Company Inc., an Ontario corporation that I own and manage. This policy explains what personal information I collect, why I collect it, how it is handled, and the choices available to you.
1. Information I collect
Depending on your interaction with me or the website, I may collect:
• Your name, email address, telephone number and preferred way to communicate.
• Appointment details, requested services, booking history and related communications.
• Information you voluntarily provide on intake forms, including relevant health considerations, accessibility needs, boundaries and service preferences.
• Payment status, amounts, transaction references, receipts and records needed for bookkeeping and taxes.
• Technical information associated with website visits, such as browser or device details, IP addresses and cookies.
I ask you to share only information that is reasonably necessary for the service. Please do not submit
medical records or other sensitive details unless they are genuinely relevant.
2. How I use information
• To respond to inquiries and manage bookings, changes and cancellations.
• To prepare for and provide requested services, including hosted overnight appointments where offered.
• To send appointment confirmations, reminders, receipts and essential service updates.
• To process payments and keep appropriate accounting and tax records.
• To address questions, feedback, safety concerns or disputes.
• To maintain the functionality and security of my website and booking system.
• To comply with applicable legal obligations.
I do not sell client lists or individual appointment records. I do not use sensitive intake responses for advertising. Promotional messages, if offered, are separate from essential booking communications and are sent only in accordance with applicable consent and anti-spam requirements.
3. Website, bookings and forms: Wix
My website, appointment booking system and online forms operate through Wix. Information you enter into a booking or form may be stored and processed within Wix and by its service providers. Wix may also collect website activity and technical information through cookies or similar technologies, depending on the features enabled on my site.
Wix has its own data-handling practices and security measures.
4. Online payments: Stripe and PayPal
I use Stripe and PayPal for online payments. When you choose one of these services, the provider may process payment credentials, billing information, transaction details, device information and fraud-prevention data. Its handling of that information is governed by its own privacy policy.
I receive the transaction information made available to me as a merchant, such as the amount, payment status, date and transaction identifier, so I can manage receipts, reconciliation and refunds. I do not need to receive or retain your complete payment-card number to manage an appointment.
5. In-person card payments: Square
I use Square to process in-person debit, credit and supported digital-wallet payments. Square may handle card information, transaction dates and amounts, payment-device data and related customer information. I use the merchant transaction records available through Square for receipts, refunds, reconciliation and accounting.
You can review Square’s Privacy Notice for customers.
6. Confidentiality and sensitive information
I treat client identities, appointment histories, personal communications and intake information as confidential. Some information may be sensitive because it relates to health, personal circumstances or the private nature of the services requested. I limit its collection and use to what is relevant and take care when discussing or storing it.
I do not publish a client’s identity, appointment details or testimonial without their permission. I do not disclose private appointment information to friends, family members or other clients. Exceptions may apply where disclosure is authorized by you, needed by a service provider for the stated purpose, or required by law.
7. Who may receive information
I may share only the information reasonably necessary with website, booking, payment, hosting, security, accounting or other operational service providers. I may also disclose information where required by law, including to respond to lawful requests or address fraud, safety or legal concerns. I do not provide sensitive intake details to payment providers unless a particular transaction or legally required process makes that necessary.
8. Storage, security and international processing
I use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, including access controls and the security features available through my service providers. No online service can guarantee absolute security. If I become aware of an incident involving personal information, I will assess it and take any notification or other steps required by law.
Wix, Stripe, PayPal, Square and their service providers may store or process information outside Canada.
Information handled in another country may be subject to that country’s laws and lawful access requests.
9. How long I keep information
I keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for appointments, client service, recordkeeping, dispute resolution and legal obligations. Booking and intake details are reviewed for continued relevance and are deleted or de-identified when no longer needed, subject to legitimate legal or operational requirements. Financial and tax records may need to be retained longer under applicable law.
10. Cookies and website analytics
My Wix website may use essential cookies for functionality, security and bookings, and may use additional analytics or similar tools depending on the website settings. Your browser may allow you to block or delete cookies, although doing so can affect some site features. Where legally required, I will seek consent before using non-essential tracking technologies.
11. Your privacy choices and rights
You may contact me to ask what personal information I hold about you, request access or correction, ask questions about my practices, or withdraw consent where applicable. I will respond in accordance with Canadian privacy law, subject to any lawful exceptions and retention requirements. Withdrawing consent for information essential to an appointment may mean I cannot provide that service.
12. Contact and questions
I am the contact person responsible for privacy matters at TWC Massage & Co. You can reach me through the contact form at www.thetwc.ca. Please avoid including unnecessary sensitive details in an initial message.
If you remain concerned after raising a privacy issue with me, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
13. Updates to this policy
I may update this policy when my services, technology providers or legal obligations change. I will publish the revised version here with a new “Last updated” date. Significant changes will be communicated where required by law.
